Our sustainability initiatives are led by the BBRL Foundation, an initiative established by our group, Edible Group and strengthened through the collective efforts of all our sister concerns.
Promoting health awareness and accessibility remains a key priority for us. Through cancer awareness programs conducted across Howrah, Hooghly, and North 24 Parganas, we strive to educate communities, encourage early detection, and support preventive care. Complementing these efforts, we have established a dedicated medical unit to provide essential healthcare services and assistance to those in need, ensuring better access to timely and quality medical support.
Our Foundation is deeply committed to promoting quality education and expanding access to learning opportunities. By establishing 70 Ekal Vidyalayas, we have supported the education of approximately 1,750 children, particularly in underserved communities, helping bridge the gap in basic education. Further strengthening our efforts, we have also constructed a primary school in Baranagar, Kolkata, creating a dedicated space for young learners to grow, develop, and build a brighter future.
In addition, the Foundation is actively involved in revamping older schools by improving their infrastructure and learning environment, ensuring students have access to safer, better-equipped, and more conducive educational facilities.
Protecting life on land is a fundamental part of our commitment to environmental sustainability and biodiversity conservation. Terrestrial ecosystems support a vast range of species and play a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance, regulating climate, and sustaining livelihoods. Recognizing this responsibility, we have taken a meaningful step by adopting 10 animal species and ensuring their lifelong care, protection, and well-being. Every species plays an essential role in maintaining the health of the environment, and protecting them helps ensure the stability and resilience of our planet.
Our facility is located in West Bengal, the leading producer of Rice, placing us in close proximity to our primary sourcing regions. Additionally, the facility is situated near key packaging material hub, with excellent connectivity to NH 6, as well as the Haldia Port and Kolkata Port.
This strategic positioning enables efficient logistics, reduces transportation distances, and contributes to lower carbon emissions.
